The Application Process
Appointment to F2 Programmes
If you are allocated to a foundation school within the West Midlands Deanery, such as West Midlands North Foundation School, you will have been allocated to an F1 programme only. There is a second independent allocation process for your F2 programme during F1 year. It is important to note that trainees could be placed anywhere within the West Midlands Deanery for F2 - trainees do not necessarily remain within the same foundation school.
The system is termed F2AP: trainees receive a score based on their progression in the first part of their F1 year. This is determined using their e-portfolio outcome standards, and a global assessment from their trainer/educational supervisor for F1. Allocations are also based on trainees' preferences.
You can find more information about allocations to F2 on the F2 Applications Process page.

Linked Applications
Every foundation school honours linked applications so that linked applicants are allocated to the same foundation school. Others will honour them further, ensuring applicants are allocated programmes within a certain distance of each other. West Midlands North Foundation School does not honour linked applications at a programme level.
