The Application Process

Appointment to F2 Programmes

Successful applicants are appointed to a two-year programme without the need for a matching process during F1.  Usually 1 year is spent in Leicester, and 1 year is spent in Kettering/Northampton however it is possible to spend both years in Leicester.

The programmes are split into three rotations of four months,  and trainees are usually required to move trusts between the two years.

Linked Applications

Every foundation school honours linked applications so that linked applicants are allocated to the same foundation school.  Others (often the larger schools) will honour them further, ensuring applicants are allocated programmes within a certain distance of each other. LNR Foundation School does not support linked applications at a programme level.
